About Us

John Stephen Ayliffe
John fell into advertising by chance and stayed 35 years, scribbling on the side. Married to Helen for four decades, they live in Sydney’s northern beaches, where they have brought up four children, all boys. His published writing includes another true story, Blind Man’s Bluff and shorter biographies. He is currently engaged in preparing a book of short stories on modern Catholic life. John’s favourite author is Kurt Vonnegut who, in his 82nd year declared “I belong to an unholy disorder. We call ourselves ‘Our Lady of Perpetual Astonishment’.”

David Stephen Ayliffe
David is a former journalist. Thirty years’ married, he and Meg live on Melbourne’s fringe. They have four children, two boys and two girls. After Zion Full Salvation Ministry and five years’ active involvement in the local Southern Highlands (NSW) community, David headed International Needs, a Christian overseas aid organisation based in Melbourne.  Worked in Donor Relations for the Australian Red Cross and in 2010 founded a charity fundraising organising to network income from Telecommunications, Energy and other services from supporters to their great causes.  David has been President of his Rotary Club and is on the founding committee for Cult Information & Family Support Victoria (CIFS Victoria).  His current writing includes a novel that has the working title of “Redeeming Lucifer” about a young man’s journey to freedom, set in a cemetery. David can be reached (as can John) through this blog.
